1982–1988, the golden years
FunkyBreslev was born out of a simple conviction: between 1982 and 1988, music shifted. Live brass and strings gave way to synthesizers, drum machines and sequencers — and that turn to the all-electronic produced some of the finest music ever made. It’s that exact moment, and that sound, the label carries forward: new compositions, written today with the palette of the era.
A catalogue that never stops
Where a label puts out one album a year, FunkyBreslev releases continuously. But nothing is churned out: every track is assembled piece by piece, reworked and replayed until it stands on its own — two to three days on average before it joins the catalogue. The pace comes from the work put in, not from a shortcut.
A family affair
FunkyBreslev Records is the result of three generations of musicians. A feel for music has run in the family for a long time; only the tools have changed. The technology reshaped how the music is made — not the ear that decides what gets released.
Where to listen
The catalogue plays around the clock on the radio, and some tracks are available on the streaming platforms. Everything else lives in The Collection (USB or download) or the Premium Pass.
